We are seeking a volunteer(s) to serve as the keynote speaker(s) for this year’s Delta Alpha Pi Induction Ceremony on March 27! If you are passionate about celebrating academic achievement, leadership, and advocacy for post-secondary students with disabilities, and would like to share a meaningful message with current members and new inductees, we’d love to hear from you.

Eligibility:

Keynote speaker volunteers must be a standing member of Delta Alpha Pi or eligible for 2024-2025 membership.

How to Apply:

Round 1: Please click here to submit brief responses to the following questions to help us learn more about your ideas:

  1. How have you demonstrated leadership or advocacy for individuals with disabilities, either personally or academically? If you haven’t had the chance yet, what steps do you hope to take to advocate in the future?
  2. Can you describe an experience where you’ve supported or raised awareness for disability-related issues? If not, how could you plan to contribute in the future?
  3. What does academic excellence mean to you, and how have you taken responsibility for maintaining that standard in your coursework, both for your personal growth and as an example to others?

Round 2: Selected applicants from Round 1 will be invited to have a brief conversation with the Disability Services Committee to discuss speech details and finalize plans for the induction ceremony.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share your voice and inspire your peers. No prior public speaking experience is required—we are looking for your passion and ideas! Please submit your responses by March 8, 2025.
