Application Process 2026-2027
The application window for the Executive Functioning Program (EFP) for the 2026-2027 academic year is now open.
Applicants who submit a completed application will receive notification of their acceptance or waitlist status by June 1, 2026. Completed applications received after June 1st will be notified of their status following review.
Once all spaces are filled, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist. Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot. If a space becomes available, applicants will be contacted at their George Mason University email address.
The fee for the 2026-2027 academic year is $4,000.00.
A complete application must include:
- EFP Application (PDF)
- Documentation indicating a disability related to Executive Functioning
- Educational Overview form (for undergraduate students only) – completed by someone familiar with the student in an academic setting.
- This should be submitted in a sealed envelope or sent directly by the recommender. PDF
- Parent/Guardian Response Form (undergraduate students only) PDF
- Self-Reflection Form (completed by student) PDF
- GMU Acceptance Letter
If you are unable to access the PDF versions of the application materials, please contact us at [email protected].
EFP applications may be submitted at the same time as the regular admission application to George Mason University; however, applications will not be reviewed until all application materials have been received, including the George Mason University acceptance letter.
If a student is accepted into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to secure the spot. This deposit will be applied towards program fees. The remaining balance will be due prior to the start of the academic year. Detailed deadlines for deposits and fee balances will be provided upon acceptance into the program.
Students accepted into the program will be invited to attend an EFP specific orientation on Monday, August 3rd, from 9:00-12:00. EFP 101 will provide information on program specific support and resources, the structure of a learning coach session, campus wide resources, and more. It will also provide an opportunity to connect and build relationships with other participants in the program. More details regarding EFP 101 will be provided closer to the date.
